On April 22, in Kiev, an early pre-season conference of Ukrainian Drift Championship (UDC) took place. The team of Association of Drifting of Ukraine (Ukrainian Drift Association), led by Max Miller, gathered all pilots for acquaintance with general provisions and rules of a forthcoming season 2012’.
First of all were considered the innovations of the Championship, such as obligatory labels of the championship and obligatory chevrons on a suit of the pilot. Then sponsors of the Championship and the main persons of organizers were fluently mentioned, and all incoming information was displayed on the big screen. After a short break for the Red Bull, coffee and cigarettes, Maxim Miller started to re-read regulations in hearing, stopping particularly on each point.
All arrived pilots attentively listened and took part in discussion. So, during discussions, some important questions were resolved. For example, the quantity of friends and relatives of the pilot in the closed park are limited now to 10, the decision on assignment of a zone for spotter was made, and also organizers and pilots agreed that in order to avoid the human factor, on start the traffic light will be used now. In addition, the question about the obligatory chevrons on overalls of the pilot and possibility of buying off from them were brought up, but this rule remained invariable as it excited only the one pilot!
At the end, Max Miller presented all configurations of tracks of a season 2012’ and told about the specialties of them.
Also, during the conference, all presented pilots signed regulations, as a sign of that they are familiarized with it and the questions on regulations would not arise. The pilot of Marchenko Racing team, Vladimir Marchenko, did not become an exception!
Finally it would be desirable to add that the Association of Drifting of Ukraine’ team is very seriously approaching to the organization and the season is promising to be catchy!
