In the beginning of June in Ukraine, the sport car of Nissan GT-R of 2012 modeling year was officially presented. Thus, the presentation was not so static, and made with races on a small ring of the autodrome “Chaika”! Moreover, all invites were personally convinced of capacity and dynamics of GT-R. Certainly, it is better to try once, than to hear a hundred times, but we will notice that to 100 km/h this car arrives just in 2.8 seconds! What is the difference of the version of 2012’?
The basic changes of the updated leader of a lineup of Nissan occurred in options of the engine, the chassis and transmission.
In spite of the fact that the original GT-R, which had won a set of awards, offered an overwhelming productivity and exemplary steering, it did not stop a team of engineers and designers of Nissan from aspiration to improve the car, which was already faultless.
In model of 2012 the technical characteristics of respected supercar were perfected even more. Each component of the car was improved and modernized. Efficiency of the 6-cylinder V-engine in volume of 3,8 l with two turbo compressors was increased by 20 h. p. to outstanding 550 h. p., thus efficiency of inlet system also was increased; resistance at the expense of intake manifolds from the special polymer, fix on each head of the cylinder block was lowered; the monitoring system of toxicity of the worked out gases was improved; resistance on release was reduced, the total weight of system, thanks to application of more compact catalyst converter, was lowered; cooling of outlet valves at the expense of a new design with a sodium filling agent of rods of valves was improved; management of phases of a gas distribution, structure of a air-fuel mixture and the moment of an ignition advance were also optimized.
Thanks to a variety of hardly noticeable, but significant changes in a running gear, the already impressive steering was strengthened, and new tires, wheels and the bigger brakes are helping to keep control over the car in any situation.
The refined changes of the car case not only presented to GT-R a new image, but also improved already outstanding aerodynamic characteristics. Clamping force increased approximately by ten percent, and the factor of airflow resistance decreased to the minimum of 0,26 Cd.
All these changes allowed to GT-R to become also more economical – average fuel consumption decreased from 12 to 11.8 liters on 100 km.
The pilot of the Marchenko Racing team, Vladimir Marchenko, took part in test-drive of new Nissan GT-R and received a lot of pleasure from steering this model!
