On September 9, just the next day after the Cup of Vinnitsa on Drifting, we were awaited by the next event, already in Kiev. The Association of Drifting of Ukraine, together with corporation of UKRAVTO and a chain store system “Baza Avtozvuka” prepared a show race within the limits of Capital Autoshow, named “Grand Prix of Kiev”.
On the project, event has an indicative character. A track is not a high-speed one, which equalizes chances of powerful cars and that with less “pony” under a cowl.
Only 23 participants gathered, from which 21 took the qualification, and only 16 passed it.
By results of qualification Vladimir Marchenko arrived on a third step! Maksim Sherstyuk (Kharkov) became the first suddenly for everybody. The Marchenko Racing team congratulates Max with this not a small achievement!
And so, twin races results!
Top-16: Evgeniy Lubenets (Kiev).
Judges counted that Evgeniy admitted a considerably bigger quantity of errors, and he remained in Top-16.
Top-8: Dmitry Illyuk (Odessa).
According to judges, Dmitry, despite the experience, made a number of errors, and because of this passed Vladimir in Top-4.
Top-4: Maxim Sherstyuk (Kharkov).
Due to the error in booting up the car of Vladimir not in the exact tires set, expected to use by pilot, but another one, Maksim Sherstyuk is passing to a final!
The race for the 3rd place was waiting for Vladimir, against Vitaliy Kovbasyuk (Kiev), which he successfully won.
And so, we will sum up!
The 1st place – Aleksey Golovnya, a 2nd place – Maxim Sherstyuk, a 3rd place – Vladimir Marchenko.
