It has happened so, that Marchenko Racing team opens the 2013 season not in its motherland Ukraine, but in Austria. The European series King of Europe has gathered best drifters of the continent to take part in the first stage of the competition of 2013. In Austria Ukraine is represented by the team, which consists of Vladimir Marchenko (Marchenko Racing) and Dmitriy Illiuk (the Blue Fire).
By arriving, men made a decision to build a common team within a framework of the KOE series. The name of the team is symbolic and patriotic: the Ukrainian Drift Team.
So, Austria! The landscapes, woods and mountains are indescribably beautiful! The race track goes through very beautiful places. All members of the team were very excited about the nature, as they headed daily from the hotel to the track.
The race track of the Austrian stage of the King of Europe is very difficult. Vladimir Marchenko hasn’t managed to train enough, and the number of participants was extremely high. He had made several attempts, but hasn’t managed to ride the given track without mistakes.
Qualification runs. And only during qualification runs Vladimir had “adjusted himself” to the track and gained a good momentum. The proof of that are qualification results: Vladimir Marchenko – 6th place, Dmitriy Lillyk – 7th place.
As an understanding of a track has come, the technique works error-free, and the qualification results are pretty good, it’s time to move on to pair ride.
In Top-32 series the rival of Vladimir was a female-racer Corinna Graff.
One would hardly say that it was easy to beat her out, but Vladimir still has shown visibly better results in steering.
Тop-16. Benjamin Boulbes
The judges could not make a decision based on the results of two races, so they demanded to repeat in third time. Vladimir won one race as a leader, and then he had to ride as a “wing man”. But boring drift is not for Ukrainians, so Vladimir decided to achieve a double-digit victory. During the whole race he pressured the rival on a very short distance. And, almost on the finish line, the French racer has slowed down very quickly on the last turn, that made Vladimir to drive his car in a critical regime, but Vladimir still managed to make it on a spin skidding and continue drifting. But, as a result of slowing down, Vladimir has approached his opponent maximum closely, and had slightly scraped the carbody of the rival’s car with his wheel. And as the contact is forbidden according to the KOE rules, the decision of the judges was made in favor of Boulbes.

Besides personal on the Championship result there are distinctions by the Partners opinion, for example:
Best drift angle from Wisefab, in this category Vladimir Marchenko has received 4th place.
Fastest race entrance from Dotz, in this category Vladimir was placed 3d.
