UTCC 2013 Stage 2 – Kiev21/06/13

On June, 15th-16th an autodrome «Chaika» witnessed the second round of the Motor racing championship of Ukraine marked by struggle, collisions, unexpected finishes and adrenaline hovering in air! But, nevertheless leaders of the championship have managed to confirm their positions.

 Vladimir Marchenko takes part in the Motor racing championship of Ukraine in class Lada-1600.

 After the first round of the championship of Ukraine spectators saw three new pilots on start in class «Lada-1600». A pilot Nikolay Ponedelnik showed the best time in course of training and won a pole-position after qualification. However, a little bit later underweight of 15 kg was registered for the pilot’s car, so judges cancelled the shown results. As a result the first place on start and in race was again occupied by Maxim Cherednichenko.

 The «silver» position of Saturday racing was contested for in intense struggle by Ruslan Serov and Vladimir Marchenko. Despite desperate resistance of the former, malfunctions of Ruslan’s technics, nevertheless, didn’t allow him to finish his race, and N. Ponedelnik occupying the last starting place managed to win a «bronze» position. By the way, it was Nikolay who also took a bonus point for the «fastest circle».

 On Sunday Ruslan Serov took the lead from the first minutes, having restored his “Kalina”. His advantage in speed didn’t give rise to doubt (point for the «fastest circle»), but another technical malfunction (brake) didn’t allow to take the «gold». After strong competition, the prizes, as a result, were awarded to the following persons: 1^st place – Vladimir Marchenko, 2^nd place – Maxim Cherednichenko and 3^rd place – Nikolay Ponedelnik.
